Alright! Let's find some common ground.

1) What kind of settings are you interested in?

2) What kind of characters would you be interested in playing?

3) What systems do you think would work well for PbP play?

4) Do you have any friends you would like to invite to participate?

Maybe interested. Just throwing this out there...

1. Lately, Clean Sci-Fi (like Aeon Flux). Failing that, maybe dark fantasy (like Claymore [Manga]).
2. A justifiably moody/angry character. World against him, lots of problems, with a happy past.
3. No idea. I've never done PbP before.
4. No.

1. Psychelic Sci-Fi. Aeon Flux certainly qualifies. Anything with living metaphor and out-there character possibilities. Ultra moody dark fantasy is my bag. I wrote a whole "PSTD&D" rpg just to satisfy my cravings. :)

2. Elves with shotguns. Werewolves with motorcycles. In particular, right now an android skald with anger issues. The latter would definitely mesh with JS's idea, which certainly helps.

3. Each of us posts two blogs a day about what we're doing? Just good ol' scene pacing for me, light on crunch-combat so we can keep playing.

4. Maaayyybe. Depends on what the outcome is.

Alright Brennen, the good news is you've got two players, and it sounds like we're essentially after the same thing. Bad news is now you've gotta actually get a game going. :D

Very cool.

After having intermittent problems with being able to access this site, I'm pretty sure we should take it somewhere else...

A few minutes later: In fact, I've created a vanilla forum at http://brennenreece.com/pbp.

Why don't we move the discussion over there?

What did you have in mind? My wife, son, and I are playing Buring Wheel with a local group every other week or so. My wife, son, and daughter are also playing World of Warcraft pretty regular.

Check out http://brennenreece.com/pbp/comments.php. I'm moving it over there because I've had problems accessing this site. I think there are some downtime issues.
