Pixels and Polyhedrons

Virtual Tabletop Social Networking for Story Gamers - Go Play Now!

Let's start a weekly or fortnightly game.

I'm GMT -6 and available Thursday and Monday evenings (into the early morning). I'm willing to play or run anything using MapTool and/or Skype.

pushing to 8 is fine for me too. 8 might be better if 730's going to be a push for Jeff in the near future.

my viewing habits...

Currently: BSG; Burn Notice; Ghost Hunters; The Riches; Dr Who; Torchwood; Charlie Rose

things i've liked by the decade they were made:

60s: Secret Agent Man; Maverick; Avengers; Prisoner
70s: Rockford Files; Bewitched; Wild Wild West; Battle of the Planets
80s: Miami Vice; Taxi; WKRP
90s: Xfiles; Cupid
00s: Firefly; IT Crowd; early 24; Sopranos; the Wire; Entourage

I like absurd and political crossovers so most genre is fine by me.

best, Eric

I appreciate you guys be willing to move the time but I'm stuck with the following schedule right now:

M-Th. 9-12
Fr-Sun. Varies

This is pretty much all I've got. No worries, though.

If my schedule works for anyone, maybe we could play on an alternate night to the PTA group.

Just give a yell,
Shane

I could go later too, if we end up with multiple groups. I _can_ go as early as 7, but later is better. I'm not ducking out of the earlier group, though, if that's all there is.

I'm thinking that out of game communication is very important here, to keep everyone involved, and to also make things cohere. So I have started a private google group for this game.

That gives us space to make pages, file storage, and an email list (daily, email is tons easier for me to deal with than hitting a web forum, but google groups still has a decent web interface for those who prefer it.)

fire me an email at forlorn1 _AT_ gmail _DOT_ com and I'll add you to the group.

I'm working on a Vassal tabletop to help us play online. It may just be better than maptool, especially if we're using VoIP.

Excellent. I found Vassal last night after digging around, but I don't think I'll have time to dig into it right away.

As far as I know, it will be pretty easy to use. I'm working on it right now. I think we can use it to play pretty much any indie game with a little coaxing.

I've started running a semi-regular Monday night game (8:30-11:30pm GMT+1): At the moment we're doing some play testing of my upcoming game Kidz, after which we're probably going to start playing Trail of Cthulhu. I'm using the Battleground software and have floating licenses available (which means all you need to be running is the demo version), if anyone else would like to join in.
